Mapping Sacred Safety

Sale Price: $2.00 Original Price: $5.00

This portfolio is a personal map of the people, places, practices, and spiritual qualities that help me feel safe, open, and connected. The ventral vagal state is a term from Polyvagal Theory describing a nervous-system state associated with perceived safety, social connection, and flexible engagement. In this state, you may feel calm yet alert and able to think, communicate, learn, digest, and respond rather than simply react. In Polyvagal Theory, this regulated, socially engaged experience is called a ventral vagal state; other approaches might describe it as felt safety, co-regulation, or parasympathetic regulation. In Kabbalistic language, this is a state where the soul can soften into presence, Da’at (sacred knowing) becomes felt knowing, and the sefirot are lived in the body. Use the prompts below to explore your own sacred safety.
